Renovation : Plaster Ceiling

Plaster ceiling works commenced. All the plaster boards are already transported to the condo. The framework also completed for the entire unit.

Harvey Norman Mix & Match PU Bed Set

Decided on a PU bed set from Harvery Norman instead of the Ikea bedframe. Harvey Norman has a number of choices available for the divan & bedhead so that you can mix & match accordingly.

The one we decided has 4 storage drawers : 2 on each side of the divan. The bedhead also has 2 storage compartments. Decided on creamy white for the set. Total cost : RM2238 (after 20% discount). Free delivery and installation. 12-months Interest free installments for all major credit cards.

Preliminary Reno Works

The management has approved all the plans and renovation work has been initiated.

Took some pics : no real work started yet actually, just floor protection with canvas done so far. Electrician/Wireman will start on Monday 15th Nov. Will see how things turn out.

Sofa Shopping

Hubby and I went around a few furniture showrooms along Jalan Universiti, PJ.

There's Thames but they don't sell leather sofas..... then there's Viani Mobili who does.... but no installment plan available.... hmmm......... Lastly, we went into Miva but none was suitable. We also went to Lorenzo but I find the prices there quite expensive and none of the sofas seem suitable for our place. Finally, it was Rozel's flagship store along Old Klang Road that has the best selection of dining tables and leather sofas.

Booked my 1+2+3 full leather sofa  from Rozel: genuine white full leather sofa with chrome legs. The sofa will be custom made within 3 weeks. Damage to the wallet? RM5990 with 12 months interest free installments. 

Paid a 30% deposit for the Mitsubishi Hikari fridge as well : RM6980 best price from MG Electric SS2, PJ (D'Legend's next door competitor).  Bought my front-loading washer from Jaya Jusco Mid Valley Megamall during the J-card Day. Price is RM2789 for the NV168 from Panasonic - this price is after a 10% discount from the normal retail price of RM3099. Received RM280 worth of cash vouchers.

Dining Table

Found this marble table on the internet at Timeless Design : Hella Tulip Table (RM3499). The saleslady was prepared to give me a 10% discount of the retail price but unfortunately the marble top has brownish streaks which I didn't like very much.

Next up is the Planet White Dining Table from Calligaris, available at XZQT 1 Utama.

The table top is tempered glass. Very solid & sturdy table with a larger round base. Diameter is 120cm and height, 75cm. Absolutely beautiful and the price to pay is RM3934 inclusive of RM110 for delivery and installation.The price is 25% off the retail price and the sales guy is willing to give me an additional 5% off.

Will most likely settle for this table, also available in marble top, black glass top and wood top, with chrome pedestal base. Now, I am contemplating which dining chair will match the table best.

Pictured above is the Alchemia chair. Another option is the Ice chair below - available in transparent finish, white gloss finish etc. The frame is also available in matt satin silver finish or white powder coated steel. Still can't decide which design to choose.

Everything is almost finalised. Submitted renovation plans to the management office already. Deposit required : RM5000 (fully refundable upon completion). M&E inspection fees : RM200. Tentative date for start work : Nov 10th. 2010.
