After waiting patiently for about 3 months for the rectification work, I've finally decided that enough is enough. I told my ID from Desigva Design that I will not pay the balance sum (which is approximately 10% of the total) as she is not making very much effort to complete the rectification work. Her excuses each time I call "my boss is arranging the schedule, my boss says next week (but doesn't call me to tell me when)..... then when I can't get her, she will sms and say she will return my call but she doesn't at all.
The only thing which my ID managed to get rectified was the wiring. Their company has a new electrician which is very good and reliable. He managed to rectify all the mistakes that were done by the previous electrician. He also added the 6mm wire that I need for the Stiebel Eltron water heater.
Since I am now in charge, I got the technicians from Stiebel Eltron water heaters to check my remaining unit the 60EC. I've decided to use it after all as it provides INSTANT hot water unlike the DC-heater which I sometimes forget to switch on and it takes some time to heat up. Another downside is that the once the hot water is used up then it will be cold especially when 2 people want to take baths at the same time (one in the tub and the other using the shower) or one after the other. Anyway, the technicians discovered a blockage in the hot water piping which they promptly removed, thus enabling water to enter the water heater and thus enabling it to function! The Stiebel Eltron water heater does not need switch controls which was great cos no hacking necessary - just a direct connection will do. It has a built-in ELCB so no worries.
As for other rectification work, I manage to get Hello Handyman to come and remove 2 unwanted cabinet doors, and patch up some wrongly drilled holes in the flooring. I also managed to get an Indon guy who is one of the workers at my neighbour's unit to come and do some painting for me. Just some touch-ups here and there. I also called up GlassKote to give me a quote to make my feature wall look like a feature wall! *Sigh* the mistakes my ID had done...... will accept the wrongly done wardrobe for now. Will redo in the future when the kids are older.
